Bir Billing Paragliding world Cup 2023

Once again, Bir Billing is set to host the Cross-Country Paragliding World Cup from October 28 to November 2, 2023. It’s a big event with around 200 foreign pilots and 100 Indian pilots participating. The Tourism Department of Himachal Pradesh, Billing Paragliding Association, and Paragliding World Cup Association France are organizing it. Additionally, there will be five Cricket World Cup matches just 60 km away in Dharamshala, making this a tourism hotspot.

Bir Billing is a fantastic paragliding destination in Himachal Pradesh, nestled in the Himalayas near Dharamshala. By air:- The nearest airport is Gaggal Airport in Kangra, which is about 68 km away. You can then take a taxi or bus to reach Bir.

By train:- The closest major railway station is Pathankot, around 112 km from Bir. From there, you can take a taxi or bus.

By bus:- Bir is well-connected by road to major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala. You can catch a bus from these cities to reach Bir.

 

From outside India

By air:- The nearest international airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. From there, take a flight to Gaggal Airport in Kangra or Bhuntar Airport in Kullu, which is approximately 145 km from Bir.

By train:- The closest major railway station is New Delhi Railway Station. You can take a train to Pathankot and then a taxi or bus to Bir.

By bus:- You can take a bus from Delhi to Bir via Chandigarh or Dharamshala.

 

Once you reach Bir, you can hire a taxi, walk, or use local buses or taxis to get to Billing, which is around 14 km away. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and thrilling experiences in this beautiful part of the world.
